Ragnarok Zero
The legendary MMORPG returns in the form of a new browser-based experience. Jade Dynasty’s Regenesis Expansion Is Now Live
Perfect World Entertainment has just released has just released the 15th expansion of their martial-arts fantasy MMORPG, Jade Dynasty. The new “Regenesis” expansion marks the arrival of a new race called “The Etherkin”. Among this race lies two factions called the Psychea, whose small and child-like appearance is offset by their incredible intellect, and the Kytos, an all-male tribe that prides themselves with incredibly strength and spirit.
Other features available in the expansion include:
- A revamped starting zone that helps new characters out with a streamlined leveling experience.
- New instances along with updates to existing instances.
- New alliance bases that allows guilds to run private events, gather materials and more.
- Updated visual engine that makes full use of DirectX 9
- New PvE challenge modes, including 20 new levels for the Soul Tower instance.

Shotgun News 12/20: Everquest Next Landmark, Hearthstone, Defiance, and Much More!
Welcome to the last Shotgun News of the year. I’ll be taking the rest of 2013 off to enjoy the holiday season and catch up on all the events going on across the MMOverse.
Everquest Next Landmark Alpha Sooner Than Expected
It was announced last night on Twitter that Everquest Next Landmark’s Alpha would be coming sooner than anyone expected. John Smedley said on Twitter that the Alpha will start sometime in the last half of January. This is instead of the originally projected February 28th.
Hearthstone Open Beta Moved to 2014
Though Blizzard had hoped to take Hearthstone into open beta sometime this month it looks like that won’t be happening anymore. They’ve been busy squashing bugs, fine tuning the game, the cards, and more. But to soften the blow a bit they’ve announced they would be expanding the closed beta to let more people in.
Jade Dynasty Regenesis Goes Live
Perfect World has launched the latest update to Jade Dynasty, Regenesis. Two new classes have been introduced along with a new graphics engine, an all new starting experience, and much more.
Defiance Now Offering Unlimited Free Trial (sort of)
Defiance is now offering a free, unlimited trial. Unlimited in terms of time that is. Free trial players will still be restricted to 500 EGO. But, free trial players will also get to check out the Arkbreaker DLC features; stims, spikes, co-op dungeons, and more.
Ragnarok 2 Launches Biggest Update Yet
The biggest update yet to come to Ragnarok 2 has landed! Advent of Valkyrie brings all new monster, new dungeons, and the mystery of Morroc City and its ruins. In addition to all of this there is also a new Master System which allows max level players access to new skills, abilities, and items.
Mail.ru Cutting 50 Jobs
It has been announced that Russian MMO publisher Mail.ru will be closing their Hamburg, Germany office in the first quarter of 2014. 50 jobs will be lost in the process. It has also been stated that the company will open a new office in Amsterdam and rename the European business Mail.com.
Red 5 CEO Rumored To Have Been Removed
It has been rumored that Mark Kern, the CEO of Red 5 Studios has been removed from his position by the company’s board of directors, effective immediately. There has been no official statement made on the matter from Red 5 but it is something we will be keeping a close eye on over the holiday break.
Life is Feudal
Life is Feudal is a sandbox MMORPG where players have complete freedom on the game world. You can modify terrain, build villages and castles, and expansive underground tunnels. Additionally, the game offers no targeting system and free player versus player combat, so your own skill will determine how well you survive in game. Keep in mind, if you can build it, others can also destroy it, so rally up with others to protect your holdings!

Hardcore Experience: Full corpse looting, open PvP, and asset destruction makes this world one not to be messed with!
Complete Sandbox Gameplay: Build, dig, or destroy. The actions you take in the game world will have a lasting effect.

World of Warplanes Partners with Alienware for Update 1.1
Wargaming’s 15 versus 15 dogfighting MMO, World of Warplanes, launches its first major content update today. This brings with it new vehicles throughout the tech trees, improved mouse controls, better UI and UI customization, and a large variety of maps.
The major additions are as follows:
– Adriatic – Take flight over both land and sea, full throttle above both incredible views and intense naval warfare.
– Castle – Engage in fierce dogfights above a scenic countryside complete with a storybook castle and a hillside town…that is under fire from heavy artillery shells.
Focke Wulfs Join the Fight – The German forces just got fiercer with the addition of fourteen new aircraft from the legendary Focke Wulf lineage
Five New Tier V Premium Planes – Get double the XP and credits with these new premium planes that add to the aircraft available for USA, USSR, Great Britain, and Germany.
New Training Mission – Get the Ground Target Training necessary to win the war with Ground Attack Aircraft, which now have the power to turn the tides towards victory.
Shooting Mechanic Rebalance – Now low altitude, turn fighting planes can defend themselves fiercely from high altitude dive attacks
Supremacy Rebalance – Additional importance placed on the destruction of ground targets to earn a victory
Improved Mouse Control – Fly your plane the way you want with our new customizable mouse control scheme
