A new open world co-op title from Nvizzio Creations is now available on Steam’s Early Access for 14.99 USD – It’s Eden Rising Supremacy. Set in a sci-fi universe, Eden Rising is a mix of tower defense, open world, and third-person action/multiplayer to create a unique experience. Tribes of human explorers absolutely must work together to defend and restore ancient technology from an advanced civilization. Team up with your friends to do battle against hordes of aliens, craft weapons, traps and armor using their crafting system. These items can also be upgraded and customized to suit the playstyle of whoever is using them.
“We are very proud of the start we have made with Eden Rising: Supremacy,” said Brent Elison, Lead Designer. “We’re in early access and already have over 30 hours of content for players to get their hands on — a massive world to explore, technologies to discover and craft and lots tower defense sieges.”
Hello Games announced via Inside Xbox that No Man’s Sky will launch on the Xbox One on Tuesday, July 24 in North America and Friday, July 27 in Europe. It will bring a full multiplayer experience for the first time to the limitless procedural universe. This is a part of No Man’s Sky NEXT as a free update for Xbox One upon launch and existing players on PC/PS4. The Xbox One launch will include “Next” and three other major updates (Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises) and dozens of smaller patches/updates.
With this launch, players across Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Steam on PC will be able to explore, fight and survive with friends as they voyage across the vast, procedurally-generated sandbox universe in multiplayer mode, with features including:
Explore the infinite universe with your friends, or bump into random travelers
As you voyage together, friends will help you stay alive, or prey on others to survive
Build bases from tiny shelters to complex colonies that you create as a team and can be seen by the community
Be a pirate or a wingman in epic space battles with friends and foes
Race exocraft across weird alien terrains and create tracks to share online
“Multiplayer completely changes the No Man’s Sky experience; it’s emergent, fun and intense in ways we always wanted it to be. I’m so happy this is finally happening,” said Sean Murray, founder, Hello Games. “It is genuinely exciting to be able to fully realize the potential so many people could see in No Man’s Sky. This will be our biggest update yet and we’re pumped to be bringing Xbox players along on the journey with us now too.”
It’s been a pretty good week for the Nintendo Switch news! First off, I’d like to say that I absolutely love Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. It would have almost been worth buying a Wii-U for. Not quite, but almost. Funky Kong mode is . . . well, a bit easier, having 5 health, and the abilities of most of Donkey Kong’s pals, but he comes with his own set of challenges and things to overcome. But the game is fun, and I’m only 3 areas into the game. There are hidden stages, puzzle pieces to collect, toys and music to unlock, and frankly, it’s an absolute blast, It’s also got two player local co-op I believe, but I stick to single-player. I don’t have a lot of “upcoming” news, but I will say that at the end of May, we’re getting Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, and it’s gorgeous. I absolutely cannot wait, even if I’m bad at a lot of the earlier games, part of that was down to crap controls on console. But times have changed, and I’m ready to get back to some 2D fighting!
Battle Chasers: Nightwar (May 15th): Gully and her band of adventurers are ready to guide through the Lost Continent, and it’s up to you to help them through dungeons, rare bosses, and collect piles of loot. Battle Chasers: Nightwar follows the story of long-lost Hero Aramus, and with turn-based combat, gathering/crafting equipment, it’s time to tackle randomly generated dungeons with a variety of difficulty options. Great adventures and equally great rewards await the bold and brave who tackle Battle Chasers, which is now available on the Nintendo Switch. It’s based on an awesome comic series, and the art and animations for Battle Chasers are pure gorgeous. It’s a sure success here on the Switch. (39.99)
The Banner Saga (May 17th): Now this is exciting. Versus Evil and Stoic teamed up and the BAFTA nominated The Banner Saga officially dropped onto the Switch. It’s a more mature RPG where a player’s choices from travel, conversation, and combat determine the outcome of their story. It has absolutely gorgeous 2D art, and represents something sincerely unique on the Nintendo Switch. The Banner Saga has been compared to Fire Emblem for years now, and The Banner Saga is at home on a Nintendo Console, the same place Fire Emblem made its fame and fortune. The Banner Saga is a must-play strategy game, and if you missed out on it before, it’s time to sit down and play it for yourself. (19.99)
Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition (May 18th): It’s time for another amazing Wii-U port to the Switch, and this is one that I was sincerely, honestly waiting for. There are two things I love: The Legend of Zelda and the Dynasty Warriors style gameplay. When I saw it was coming, but coming for the Wii-U, my heart sank. There are no frustrating puzzles and dungeons, no gigantic worlds to explore that take hours upon hours to get anywhere – just piles of monsters and beautiful stages. There are piles of characters to play, from Link, Darunia, Zelda, Impa, and many more. Plus, it comes with all of the DLC from the original game. It includes areas from Wind Waker, Breath of the Wild, Skyward Sword and more. Over a dozen characters from across the insane Zelda timeline, and it has split-screen multiplayer. This is another title that most of my friends missed, and should be thankful that it’s alive and well again, here on the Switch. (59.99)
