Wakfu Announces Premium Benefits Business Model

Square Enix, Inc., the publisher of SQUARE ENIX interactive entertainment products in the Americas, and ANKAMA, an independent digital creation group and developer, today revealed the premium membership benefits for their upcoming tactical MMORPG, WAKFU.  Available February 29, 2012, WAKFU will launch as a free download from the official site and include with it a significant amount of gameplay content to experience at no cost.

For players who want to experience all that WAKFU has to offer, a monthly subscription fee of $6.00 will provide players access to a variety of premium content, including the ability to: reach the highest levels; explore all available game areas; master all 16 professions; create and join guilds; and even become the next governor.  In addition, from now until February 27, early subscribers will be generously rewarded with exclusive bonus content including customizable pets and equipment sets and a one-of-a-kind pioneer outfit - easily identifying their character as one of the very first to set foot into the World of Twelve.  Both free and premium membership players will have access to WAKFU’s microtransaction-based store, which will allow players to enhance their experience with the purchase of cosmetic items.
