Camelot Unchained BSC Days Wrap-Up

Back in May, City State Entertainment promised us "Bat Shit Crazy" days, a special event that would contain a series of exciting announcements about the development of its RvR MMO, Camelot Unchained. Unfortunately, the event had to be delayed, with apologies and a "mea culpa" from CSE. This week, however, broke the anticipatory silence with the four-day long BSC streaming event.

We’ve tuned in to over 20 hours of streaming this week to give you the complete run down on everything announced in this insane four-day event. In addition, each section has our own “Bat Shit Crazy” meter, which is a general gauge of how crazy we really think these ideas are. Get comfortable - there's a lot of information here, but we think it's worth your time.

Lots of games have big ambition but the proof is in the pudding. If they can pull off their ideas then this game is going to be great. I’m really excited that companies are thinking outside of the box. Since WoW MMORPGs have all been basically the same. It kind of makes me think about a mix between DAoC and Shadowbane which is great because both of those games were good for different reasons. DAoC had RvR and Shadowbane had the player driven/build anywhere system that was ahead of its time. Anyone who is a fan of MMORPGs should keep there eye on this game in the coming years as it comes together. We could be looking at the next big thing.

I feel that we are looking at the next big thing, that is if you like RvR and building. and not grinding npcs to level up. The world being Dynamic would be a huge plus if they pull it off I am guessing they already are pretty confident they can or wouldn’t have suggested it. One thing this game has is CSE founders IMO willing to do different stuff and try things. Both IMO are geniuses.
