Lightbulb Looking for Programmer(s)

Red Water Studios is an auspicious independent studio working on our first game, a 3D flight racer. The staff positions are filling up fast but we need two more before we can start our project.

'Bug Wars' (working title) is an air race where players pilot bugs in a suicidal mission to get from endzone to endzone. Choose your bug carefully based on speed, handling, armor, and attack strengths. The bug that fits your personality is the one that wins.

Target aim:
Initially the game will be released as honorware downloads as well as for disk purchase in our online store. If the game shows promise and growth, we will expand this to magazines, websites (like amazon), and possibly retail stores. The short term goal is to produce a fun game. The long term goal is to establish the company and grow from there.


Compensation:
Compensation, even for doing what you love, is still a major concern to us all. All employees will be paid if and when profits are made. I would like to offer an hourly or per project pay after the first game is completed but as of right now, the only option is percentage of profits, credit, and any other royalties that may come in the future. These conditions do not expire, so if in ten years the game sells a copy, you will still get your percentage even if you no longer consider yourself part of the team.


Technology:
This game should be playable on PC, MAC, and/or Console systems (depending on programmer.) The programming language will be either Python or C++ or even a mix (which is undecided at this point and most likely going to be based on the programming skills available.)


Talent Needed:
While people with talent are always welcome, the two spots we need filled immediately are:
Lead Programmer
Second Programmer

The lead programmer must be able to use an existing game engine or code a custom one for this project. Required features are 3D flight sim, sound FX and sound track, tcp/ip multi-play, and similar.

The second programmer must be able to work with the lead to achieve the desired results.
