The reason batman went evil was so that the city didn't have to see the dark side of harvey dent.. He was their hero, their knight in shining armor and if they saw what they had become they would lose all hope in their city as even their idol had gone corrupt.. So batman became the evil one who held the commissioners family hostage so Harvey could die the hero he once was and the city was all the better. No college degree required, hell they even spelled it out for you towards the end of the movie..

Harvey at the time was supposed to be Batman's real life replacement. Because of the sacrifice that Batman did he turned Harvey into a marder, which was an extremely noble thing to do on his part.

I just wanted to see the batcave, not the batroom. Hope I get my wish in the 3rd movie.

The dark Knight was a great movie. This is just a great example of a actor getting greedy after his movie is toppled by another super hero movie.

A movie should require some intelligence.. or else it will be a pretty crappy movie.

Batman wasn't made for a movie in the first place,
Also the first movies directed by Tim Burton are still the best ones,
atleast I think so.

The rest is just a big commercial.
