Lord of the Rings online?!

personally the best community i've been in since ages. Immersion isn't all that of an issue either in Lotro

EvE. 95% of things are player driven.

The most vast world is WoW i think.
The most realistic world is second life.

Every MMORPG makes you feel like your part of a world because you're constantly reminded of the ****ing stupidity of the people on Earth.

Guild Wars has such a world, imo. I've yet to see a more authentic world in a game. It really feels like you're in a world, which could actually exist.

EvE would probably take the cake for me

like said, it's almost completely player driven

WoW and EQ2 do a good job, but they feel so scripted (because they are xD)

EQ2 does a way better job than WoW with creating that world and lore though

WoW is very small compared to some games. Take EvE for instance, New Eden is much much larger than WoW.

I havn't seen one twat in the game, the community is genrally helpfull shame the game's combat is to slow. WoW personnaly has one of the worst worlds. Where the f*** is the war? It makes no sense unlike the warcraft series that mixed RTS and story telling perfectaly.
Tabula Rasa actually felt like there was a war because you need to capture controll points and the lore and back story isn't bad either.
FFXI although it has a story doesn't feel like FF mainly because of the combat and the graphics. The FF series always made me go wow, when you saw the CGI cutscenes and the spells.

That's not true, you can only go to one continent from the Conan universe and the game is cut up into zones and instances of zones. It is not even a seamless world and each zone only has a few people in it so it does not feel like a huge world.

To add to that, NPCs in Conan just stand there, they do not feel alive. The merchants, blacksmiths, towns people etc, etc in towns are all standing and doing nothing. The only guys that move around are guards.

Most people in the game solo since you can solo your way easily from 1-80 if you wanted to. There were only 2-3 dungeons I needed help with from LVL 1-62 before I quit. Its not a very party up game, people only party the bare minimum they can.

So, to me at least the game felt like a ghost town many times that I logged in. Couldn't find people to party and didn't see many people in zones, it was boring. I was on Deathwhisper PVP server(most popular) and also a very popular PVE server with another character, same thing on both.
