I'm not meaning for this to be some sort of spam thread I'm serious when I post this.

Anyways..I have these "things" that I have in the back of my mind that I sort of "store" I guess and basically its just stuff that I remember every once in a while meaning like every couple of months or so usually..but I always completely forget them and its useless to remember them but I do it anyhow every once in a while...basically I sort of started it in my head like 8-ish years ago and the first one, which is usually the first one I remember, is just to remember to remember it again (really stupid I know) but then I have others like one about a promise I made my dad for him to keep for him to give me 50 cents in a year about 6 years ago (was just something stupid we did, he never gave me the 50 cents and he didn't even remember that we had promised it) etc.

First of all am I the only one who has these...not really thoughts but their like zipped pockets in your memory? Not like getting molested and trying to forget about it or something but just weird stuff like this?
Also, is there a name for them?

Again I'm being serious >< I just don't know where else to ask other than those dumb medical type forums that I hate to even think about..

I am pretty sure its normal because I remeber the day I got my first nes and the time I pooped my pants and than started putting it in my cereal and I should stop now and woot 800 posts

lmao thats..erhm..interesting. But these aren't memorable events, there not even events. I don't really remember the exact day or month (or really what year honestly) but its just a reminder to remember the reminder to remember etc. sorta like a paradox...maybe Its just part of being OCD or something >< I don't really know.

I was actually thinking about this exact same thing earlier today and I was talking about it to my friend a while ago too. I just remember random insignificant events. And I have OCD too if that has any connection.

lmao, thats just part of being high..I haven't smoked in a couple of months...

and what I mean is its not a memory or event at all, its just a thing. Its similar to being a guy and remembering the word "menstruating", you don't use it like ever really but you remember it for no apparent reason..except this isn't really a word either its just remembering to remember remembering..if that made sense.

@ zamwini : Yer, thats why people have flashbacks from acid trips..your brain doesn't really know the difference between events that were traumatic and ones that weren't (a bit different but sorta the same) but sometimes it just thinks it was I guess.

yeah i do that too but half of the time they mean something, think about the things you remember your conscience may be trying to tell you something
