The only problem with "Buy low, sell high" is if everyone went by it prices would go all over the place and back again. Like if you bought something for lets say 500 NX then sell it for 600 NX it most likely wouldn't get bought till the 500's got bought out and then the lowest price would become 600 with a possible increase over time.
