I played Tales of Phantasia on an emulator from time to time, didn't really get into it. But Tales of Symphonia was probably the first tales game I actually went through, did everything, played more than once and still to this day would enjoy powering up the GC and playing.

Hopefully ToV will give me the same experience, guess I'll find out this weekend.

Interestingly, never a dull moment.

Got it and Tales of the Abyss earlier.

I'm going to finish Abyss first, then start on vesperia. Funnily enough, I'm 10x better at the combat system after playing through a little bit of abyss, :P

The Japanese versions always get better voice actors...
Though, Tales of Vesperia wasn't that bad from what I heard in the demo.
I'm actually going to buy it now, since I'm bored... I'll post something about it later on.

Edit: Maybe I'll write a full review!
This post reeks of Japanophile.

The voice acting in ToV is perfect. Pretty much every character had the perfect VA. And Troy Baker as Yuri = Sexy.

I'm almost 40 hours into the game, and I'm loving this game. It's my 2nd favourite in the series.

Wow. Just wow.

Phantasia is considered one of the worst games in the series by fans because of its clunky battle system and it's extremely poor plot that has more holes in it than swiss cheese.

Destiny 2 hasgreat gameplay, but again, the plotline has more holes than swiss cheese and makes little sense. I personally think the game's entire purpose was to revive Leon for fanservice.

ToDC, Vesperia, Eternia and Rebirth are by far my fravourites in the series.

I said that before buying the game.
I agree, the English voice acting is very good.

Hmm, apparently Namco decided "hey, lets make the combat clunky, make all the bosses completely annihlate you in 2 seconds with their barrage of attacks that do 100-200 damage a second when you only have 1000 hp" is a good way to make the game "hard"

Guess I'm just going to settle on keeping the combat in Vesperia on easy....If I ever feel like playing it again.

Well, I played on normal...
I think some of the boss battles you actually do have to prepare for a little, and level up a few times on your own.
