Looking at the Class Attributes, as your attributes are added to your primary class.

The way i see it, you want to max out your attributes, the more DEX/STR/CON you have for (P) Melee class the more powerful you be, also you need to consider secondary class skills which one will help you the most for primary class.

Example:
(P)Rogue / (S) Mage = worse combination / attributes on mage so low at the end you will be gimped.

Rogue as (P) Class
(P)Rogue / (S)Scout = 44STR / 53DEX / 43 CON
(P)Rogue / (S)Warrior = 51STR / 51 DEX / 48 CON

Looking at this attribute combination, Scout and Warrior are great for Rogue as (P) Class.

Why not Priest? Mage? Knight?
Priest and Mage have the lowest attributes / and Knight has nothing to offer to a rogue besides more armor/deface.

Rogue
* Strength: 23
* Dexterity: 28
* Constitution: 22
* Intelligence: 14
* Wisdom: 19

Scout
* Strength: 21
* Dexterity: 25
* Constitution: 21
* Intelligence: 20
* Wisdom: 20

Warrior
* Strength: 28
* Dexterity: 23
* Constitution: 26
* Intelligence: 10
* Wisdom: 17

Mage
* Strength: 10
* Dexterity: 12
* Constitution: 12
* Intelligence: 28
* Wisdom: 24

Priest
* Strength: 14
* Dexterity: 14
