But seriously on a related statement, I think you should add a little more complexity to the greenery, and other scenery related objects such as buildings, make it look a little jazzy, I very much liked the cities in the old Pokemon ruby and sapphire games, for a sprite game I still felt like I was in a big city.
That would make your game look even better!
