I've played it on worse with low setting and been fine. I have a 2nd machine with a AMD Athlon 2500+ CPU, 1gb PC2700 Ram, and a 6800xt 256mb video card that plays just fine on low settings. While I would recommend you get your ram up to 2gb the rest is fine. I'd say you have a problem somewhere else on your system. Might be time to format and get rid of the useless crap lingering about.

anyway the live client will have quite a lot of options to play with regarding AA AF etc etc etc, unlike this beta client, that only allows the basics and not even that sometimes.

2.6ghz dual core.
2k ddr2 kingston ram nvidia geforce 7900gs i got here. game runs smooth max settings/1280x1024 8xanistrophic, 2x aa. can have slowdowns in huge RvR though. specially when i'm playing a few hours already. seems to be a little memory leak the game has. once i exit/restart game the low fps is fixed again

Well im still hoping for lots of performance fixes in head start. Im playing all on high with force AA 16x and I lag just as much as I lag when everything is on low. The lag though is just a few freezes here and there when I turn my character and stuff.

yeah same here. the distance range doesnt seem to do much either. normally it doesnt load textures in the far back if u put it down but this game just puts a fog effect over it which i'm not sure if it improves peformance anything.
