Default System memory too low?

Hey guys,
I know this might be a stupid question but is there anyway to bypass the login where it says your system memory is too low?

If you don't have at least 1gb of memory, then it's time to upgrade. Bypassing would only create more issues for you. Besides you can buy 1gb of RAM for $15-$20 nowadays so it's not much of an investment anymore.

No, RAM is very easy to install. The honest hardest part is finding out what type of RAM you need.

I recommend downloading CPUID which is a small program that gathers information about your PC and tells you what you have.
http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php *Top Left is DL Link*

Then it's all about going to newegg.com (My suggesting for best price) or a local store and buying what you need.

MAIN RULES FOR INSTALLING RAM IMO:
1) Static is a bad thing. Never touch a stick of RAM without discharging any static electricity you may have built up. The easiest way is to touch the power supply in your computer. TADA!
2) Make sure the computer is unplugged from your electrical outlet. Never know when your computer is gonna decide to try and kill you. Best to take it's power away so it's defenseless.
3) Here is a "How-To" link http://www.ehow.com/how_895_install-ram.html for installing RAM. It gives you more steps than are really needed, but better safe than sorry I suppose.

Heh, I can't tell you how much money has been well spent at newegg, best website to buy anything technology related, IMO.

When you run CPUZ.EXE and it finishes analyzing. Click the "SPD" Tab and under "Max Bandwidth" it should say the type of RAM you have installed. As example something like "PS2-6400 (400 MHz) might show there. The "Memory" and "SPD" tabs tell you everything about your RAM.

Also, if you have a pre-fab machine (Dell, Gateway, Sony, HP, etc) and have not altered it in any way, then you can look it up by model number on google for instance.

Ah, i've never used CUPID before, does it show extra slots not being in use or does it simply show the slots that are in use?

I've been meaning to look at my sister's desktop for a while (she needs upgrades), and I think she can just run this and I can order it for her.

It also shows unused slots in the drop down menu of the "SPD" section.
