Yea i noticed a game list on the intel website for my chipset, so i do have vertex? because hopefully i can play some other ones. Thanks a lot for your help though.

Yes, the Vertex Shader was enabled quite awhile back in the drivers, but it activates based upon the software and sometimes doesn't activate correctly. It seems to work much better on the XP versions of the drivers, but slowly the Vista ones are catching up.
