Go to the development forums and theres a sticky with links to stuff like one im using called Learn C++ in 21 days and its actually pretty good im also working on my own game so FYI making a game is the hardest thing you will ever do if you just jump straight into it. Try reading some guides and tutorials come up with a good story and get you some decent software after you do that I guarantee making a game will be much easier but still it get difficult running solo so he is right about doing it with friends not only will it be easier but it will be more fun.
