I tried all of the .exe's, doesn't work.

Maybe you could try downloading the old closed beta client from an alternate site? Instead of Fileplanet I downloaded it on Filefront I think and was able to patch and play.

Where you type your acct name and password, try checking the box that says perform full file check

you are not the only one with the problem it seems. head over to WAR's forum and ask there, they probably have an answer by now if so many people are having the error....
