Some tips :

Don't start throwing around project topics one or two weeks in. at that point you barely have a concrete base, let alone something other people can work on (especially the non-l33ts.)

Secondly; starting to talk about payment and generally money-related stuff at that point of development is sheer lunacy unless you want to alienate potential users - When the project takes shape and becomes more than potential, but promising, THAT is when you think about such things. You say them even later.
