Well summoners level up fast, period. This is an undisputed fact in any server, be it Seria, Siroco, Cassilas or whatever. They are capable of winging maps even higher than them without parties and without good equipments, making them really easy and fun to use. Magic type summoners may end up with some problems though, bcos their summons just fade too fast, but are capable of pretty good damage, as they generally have more summons than normal type summoners. As boss killers, summoners are really one of the more prime characters that are good for it. I can just summon crap, target it, and eat my stock of cookies while the boss gets pwned. At higher levels, the chances of summons using skills actually increases and this helps counter the lack of control , besides follow me and target it. With clever use of pre-BM skills, you can push mobs to one side and have all your summons beat them up, making map clearing fast (like in Hameln).
Well, I won't dispute if u wanna say they get "stuck" in certain maps with lots of barricades. Maps like Lair 2 are a pain due to the obstacle course nature of the rooms. It's maps like those I really take longer to complete.
Hmm and for taking too long to clear the map, I dun really think so. It depends on the aspect you're looking from. From what you're saying, I think you're thinking of doing a map within the level range of your character. What I'm thinking is doing maps outside the level range of your character. Summoners have the edge here, which is why my Moon Empress keeps getting private messages to plvl others of around the same level as me.
You don't really need to get legacy weapons to play summoners, other characters maybe but it's not a Must for summoners. I did say low level weaponry is fine for support classes didn't I? Summoners are support classes by nature, not attacking themselves but using summons to support them.
Why I use low level weapons in high level dungeons? Easy, cheaper repair costs. Lvl 50 rares cost a lot to repair, about 2 or 3 times more than lvl 35 rares, per run.. especially if you're planning to solo. Also with this, I can effectively plvl other players for a fraction of the price offered by other classes. What another class charges 150k for I can charge just a fraction of that for the same service ( and still get SSS ). Other players go for super cheap plvling, it's just how humans are made. Also makes plvling others in the guild more effective (at lower level maps up to blood hell, I don't even need to equip a weapon). Plvling others for Free makes your high levels lose out, so make it cheaper, strip yourself of your weapon and plvl them.
Now what to do with all the extra money your summoner makes? Now you can buy your legacy like what Fail said. Or just do whatever with it. I just give my new characters one or two million from my summoner as starters... that's how I pretty much use my money.
There are some maps summoners have trouble with, mostly due to what Fail points out as lack of control. Magma dungeon is a hell hole for normal type summoners, you obviously should know why. Same with King's Ruin and some other minor maps where the map itself has certain effects, or certain key bosses have special abilities or whatnot. Not to forget Tower of Death...summoners just aren't good there, requiring to resummon at EVERY level and require a large amount of tower clear cubes to summon high level creatures. Tower of Illusion is still easy as hell, no comments there.
Yeah koreans generally have pretty average computers, well some of them that is and it's easy to spot them if you see them freezing ingame. Other than that, I just kick the one who is freezing out after we complete the map and get a new member in, bit this case rarely happens for me though. The rest who have no problems are fine with it, and I'm also easily getting into parties, with some players actually waiting for me to get online before they switch to their high level characters. And yeah, I do fine in a 3 man party, with all of the members being Moon Empresses. None of us froze or lagged. Guess the younger "kids" have better computers huh?
