Background: Jed was raised in the hubbub of a large city in Washington, but preferred the quiet to bustle and noise. At 21, he moved to Alaska, where he lived remotely, six miles from the nearest town.
He stayed there with a small house, a large supply of meat, and his black lab, Squat. The fresh kill around Jed's house was dwindling, and what he did find seemed to be hiding. Squat would pace endlessly around the house until one day, he went stir-crazy and ran out of the cabin towards the town. Jed, in desperation to find Squat, went after him in the direction he ran.
Once in town, Jed heard about the impending doom, and regretfully let Squat go. He high-tailed it to the launch pad, hoping to re-colonize before the human race was eliminated, and was lucky enough to be chosen.

Special Skills: A very hardy person. Quick on his feet and mind.
Weak Points: Locked away to other people, care-free attitude.
