Yeah im gona slow down on wow till wotlk comes out in two months, and leveling my new paladin is getting to be a bit of a chore. So i want to go back to requiem. But it lagged like HELL On my computer, for some reason, yet i can handle wow on my comp just fine.

So i was wondering...could it have been the servers not my computer that is the problem?

Here are my computer specs

Intel Pentium 4
Processor 540 supporting

Hyhper-Threading Technolog y
Processor speed 3.20 Ghz
800 MHz FSB, 1BL2 Cache

Double Layer
8x DVD+/RW & 48x CD-ROM Drives

ATI RADEON X300 SE
with 128 MB PCI-Express Graphics

200 GB 7200 RPM HD
with 8 MB chace

512 MB DDR
Dual Channel Memory

Digital Media Reader

8 in 1

7 USB Ports

NOTE: I really dont know what most of this crap means xP, so i just copied all of this stuff verbatim , and i know that half this stuff is not even related to the speed of my computer, but i put em anyway, just to be sure.

so...the big question is, will requiem lag on me like crazy?

And...is it because of my computer or because of the servers?

It should. With some minor lag if you can play 4story, Requiem shouldnt be to bad..get rid of some "useless" crap, preferably games that you no longer play.

WoW is not very heavy on the graphics. I think Requiem has higher requirements. And with your current video card, I do think you are going to lag.

So is it a Dell or HP machine? =p It is your computer that's the cause of the lag. The P4 is still okay as far as MMOs go, in face I have the same model. But your RAM and Graphics card are inadequate, I'm sorry to say. If you want to reduce the lag on Requiem, you need more RAM (at least 2 GB ) and definitely a new video card.

The reason you can play WoW with little difficulty is because Requiem is a newer and much more graphically intensive game. As more and more MMOs achieve Requiem's graphical level and beyond, you'll find yourself getting more and more lag on your current machine when you try to play them.

512 MB memory is a little low. try to upgrade to 2 GB. It wouldn't cost much (about 75 USD), but will make your game run a lot smoother.

dude my old comp was like that and it couldnt even run requim..

and u sud get a new comp, and you willl realize how bad ur current 1 is now.
i just got new comp and its so awesome

well it is for me, i dont lagg much in CB tho

I never lagged when I tried Req.
Although it's a dull game, no lag at all.

you definitely need a new gfx card and ALOT more ram dude.
the CPU is fine imo
