How does Guild Wars dif from WoW?

Pros and Cons?

Is Guild Wars worth me going to buy?

its definitely worth the buy cause its a 1 time fee then its free forever.also im only lvl 4 in it but lower level cap,can be played casually,there arent any weapon/armor shops...all items are dropped/crafted by players,can dual class,thats all i can think of right now.

Wow is somewhat more "Cartoony" than GW, so if you want graphics, GW is better.

GW is instanced, so your not fighting for mobs.

GW has NPC henchmen for when you cant find a party

GW is easier to play, no hours of grinding.

GW = FTW in PvP

GW has a storyline and good ones too.

GW is a one time buy and the $80 collectors edition gives cool extras

GW community is nicer

GW gives you 2 classes and not one. Primary and Secondary

GW has Guild Wars (ORLY?)

GW is humans only. But who cares?

GW offers a vast amount of skills and equipment upgrades

GW PvP gives good skills

GW Quests are fun

Wow has cooler flaming equipment and swords the size of a car.

Wow gives a more vast amount of areas to explore

Wow has more equipment

Wow has more classes.

Wow has more races

Wow is repetative.

All I can think of but I believe that you have to try both to see what you prefer.

i have played both on and off for a while and i would say that guild wars is better just because of the money factor in wow u pay every month no matter what and before u know wit u get boored anyway and all that cost u tons of money in guild wars u can buy just like night fall have a lot to do and when u get boored u can if u want spend more money on another story or just switch games and all night fall would cost u total is like 40$ not to mention if u get boored and then three months later decide o i wana play GW like i do a lot all u gota do in reinstall and go have fun no need to buy a account again

I went from WoW to guild wars, but it was mainly because i've become a more casual gamer.

Guild wars is a great game, the only reason I would say stick to WoW is if you were planning on still being a hardcore gamer. Guild wars has the best graphics of any mmorpg, an the style of the game all around is spectacular.

which is why its such a great casual game. i'd say stick to WoW if your planning on playing 6+ hours a day.

I disagree, I think Guild War's graphics are much better than WoW's, but I think its because its a different style, so its opinionated.

i agree totally with amazingpain, i used to play wow but now i barely still play games, only GW for a few hours a week, and its Amazing for that tbh, it is really fun to just explore in Guildwars aswell i find, since the places look so nice

To me, a player of gw for 3+ years, the game is kinda daed to me, guild battles are not what i used to love and dream about, while trying to balance pvp and pve they ruined the game in my eyes, titles ruined the game, because everyone just wants to grind their titles instead of having fun.

guild wars is lame now....its very dead.....oh and one thing i always hated is you cant even jump, you might think thats nothign now but try navigating to certain areas on a map without being able to jump off a little edge you have to go completely around it...stressful yes....those who know me know im no wow fanboy but id have to go with wow in this one

its not very dead at all, have you tried logging in? cities are still packed with people waiting to party, i absolutely Love this game since i bought this, i agree with the jumping thing, i really wish it had jumping, thats what i miss, but other things make up for that.

the community is amazing aswell, you'll find people to help you with quests or just to explore or do party quests anywhere.
