Why do I want to play Runes of Magic?

Hi, my name is Leandro and I really want to play Runes of Magic. I really hope that in this opportunity I finally get a beta key to play this wonderful game !

I want to play it mainly because it has so many great features, that you do not see in other MMORPG's. The housing system together with its decorative system will provide a lot of fun. I liked that it has a first person mode, allowing
you to feel inside the enviroment. I really loved the character customization, which gives you many different options for customization.

The combat system has one specific feature, that in my opinion, makes a enormous change in a game. And this game has it, along with so many other cool things ! I am talking about the combo feature, it allows a interactive combat. Every MMO should have that. The dual class system is also fantastic,
it gives more choices for the skills and abilities of your character, so you can make a cool character, or choose the combination which will bring the best performance in battle.

This game has very nice graphics, and a beautiful scenario. It brings so many
wonderful things, all in one game ! You can easily tell it is a great game, from its characteristics.

I hope I win a beta key to enjoy it ! Good luck to everyone.

Bye.

Default Why I Want A Beta Key

I want to play RoM becuase, the game looks like no F2P game has ever went before. It has a cool house system like in fable and the game is like WoW which i love wow very much plus theres all differnt kinds of races and classes that sound soooo awsome. The duel system just looks amazing and PVP is one of the things i cant wait for, But in the past i played many games and i havent found one game that games me go O.o im playing this for weeks. I just hope this game might do that for me so i can have fun and get my friends in it, plus the raiding instanced dungeons sounds cool also SERVER vs SERVER witch i never seen in any mmo before so i really think this game is going to be the game i play for a long period of time.
Thanks for time reading this. Good luck everyone

Well the main feature of the game that caught my eye, like so many others, would be the dual-class system. Sure, many other games feature similar systems, but what I like about this one is the simplicity. Often games will go over the top and add a ton of different class options, but then you realize you have to level them all separately and that will take forever. Runes of Magic keeps things in check by limiting you to 2 classes, which seems like the perfect middle-ground to me.

The dual-class system is just what caught my eye, however. Once a game attracts your attention, it's gotta continue to deliver exciting content to keep you interested. Runes of Magic did that for me by including what seemed like everything I could want in an MMO. It was just like the devs were saying in one of the expo videos; RoM is a MMO made by MMO'ers, designed to incorporate all the best features. Mounts, housing, quests, pvp, armor upgrades... the list goes on and on.

Even more impressive is how all of the different aspects of this game are each well-developed. For example, they didn't include a boring, standard housing system... they made one that, first off, looks amazing. On top of that they've included some really great new features (at least I haven't seen them anywhere else), like the mannequins that you can dress in your armor, and then hot-swap.

All the features come together to form a very coherent world, a world that I would love to explore, adventure in, and test the limits of.Thank u.

why you want a Beta Key to join Runes of Magic.?

Well, first of all, my primary goal is just to TEST Runes of Magic.

I Play Rappelz atm and I'm a lvl 122 archer there, I'm resigning there for the rest of the year to try to become a beta tester for Runes Of Magic.

I think that this game has the potential to to be the absolute best game comming out. And with that it's even FREE TO PLAY.

A primary thing to me in an MMO is the storyline. What happened and why things happened and how the "world" with its classes and creatuares is created.

Then the dual class system; As of now, there are six classes, the Scout, Warrior, Rogue, Knight, Mage, Priest and Rogue. After choosing a class it doesn't stop there already. There is the possibility of attaining a second class. This allows players to enjoy two of the best classes together. Imagene a Rogue with healing skills (this makes me drowl) Best of both worlds

Another thing that made Runes Of Magic rock my world is the 600+ quests from the launch. This means the makers totaly understand how it is to play RPG's and this many questst are surely enough to keep everybody going till the next update.

Hello,

I've found information about the new massively multiplayer online role playing game "Runes of Magic" (RoM) some days ago. And after I read some info, community posts and opinions I am full of enthusiasm to be a beta tester of this game that I think has a huge potential to be one of the best MMORPGs.

Why to choose me?

I don't know if I would be the perfect beta tester, or just appropriate, but to help for your choice I will explain some pros and cons concerning me.

Cons:

- I am 27 years old and I go to work, because of that I will have time for the game two or three hours a day (and much more in the weekends).

- I have played only a few MMORPGs (three or four as I remember), and only one I have played seriously - Ultima Online for about a two years.

Pros:

- I am an old gamer (start playing about 20 years ago) and I have played hundreds of games in my life. There are a lot of MMORPGs and lots of them are free but only some (2-3) worth to play - because of that I don't played a big variety of that sort of games. Ultima Online was my idol and I hope that another present 3D MMORPG with a lot of potentialities (like good housing system) will replace it.

- I have a little experience in beta testing, because I was a tester in one web based online game. I know the basis (finding bugs, reporting to developing team and so on). I have enthusiasm to work for developing the extraordinary potential of RoM. The game looks to be a hit and really want to be a part of it.

Thank you for your patience of reading this and I hope I would be of help.

Why would i want to play RoM?

there are a number of reasons for that. The game i played before (zero online) is dying on my server, so i'm looking for a new game.
I've tried a number of games this summer but none of them seemed to be able to hold me for any period of time, they all seemed to be lacking something.
RoM is the first game that seems to be offering the complete package. It has innovative feature to distinguish it from other mmorpgs yet at the same time it provides lots of features that are known to work, combining some of the most popular aspect of other mmorpgs and trying to go beyond that. As this seems like a game where i would want to stay, i want to give back to it to some extent by beta testing it.

P.S if i don't get in, u will see me when this goes open

Default I would like to play Runes of Magic !

I would like to play Runes of Magic because I very much love to try out new things. Runes of Magic is a new world with new rules to explore. I have always been an adventurer when it comes to MMO's. I have been keeping up on the features and reading about the different lands I would have the opportunity to trod on. From the sounds of it they did a good job of melding different features of games to make one unique experience.

I play alot of MMO's, so alot of the features they have, I have seen. I am realy waiting for the opportunity to see them together and have the chance to help make them polished and running like the good mmo it looks like on the outside from where I am sitting.

As far as the beta goes I am willing and pateint enough to put up with and report diligently what ever bugs they need fixed. (if there are any) I have been in closed beta tests before and know that the game I would be playing now is nothing like the one it will be in live. So as far as why I want to join Beta, Its because I want a chance to make this mmo the best it can be and help to find what bugs it has and fix them. I hope to bring the experience I have gained from the numerus betas to the beck and call of Runes of Magic.

"A game is only as good as the amount of time and effort put into it." I read that quote a few years ago, and with all of the cookie cutter RPG's out there, it's more true today than ever.

So, how does this relate to Runes of Magic? From what I've seen, the developers must have given up sleeping altogether from the amount of time of effort put into it. The game looks absolutely amazing. Not only do they provide the basic mechanics of any good RPG, but they've also added pretty much every "extra" that turns a good game into a great game. A few of these include the customizable player housing and a good auction system.

So how do you turn a great game into a head turner? You incorporate randomly generated dynamic dungeons and a duel class system that allows you to even further customize your character.

But remember, as great as this all sounds, a game is still only as good as the time and effort put into it. Runes of Magic sounds great, but with this many features, you can bet some of the pieces and parts aren't going to function as intended. That's where the Beta Testers come in. I'm excited about Runes of Magic, and hope I get a chance to help it live up to it's potential.

I'm 39 years old and have been playing online RPG's since they were developed. I'm back in college (again!) so have quite a bit of free time, most of it spent gaming. I've helped beta in the past, so I understand that a big part of closed beta is playing through parts of the game that aren't functioning, and reporting them. Not just ignoring them and hoping someone else will take care of it. Whether I get into closed beta or not, I'm looking forward to my first glimpse of Taborea, and I hope to see you all there.

Default why i want to play ROM?

what makes me want to play Runes of Magic?

Well, first of all, my primary ambition is to TEST Runes of Magic.

Why is this? Because I feel that this game has the potential to to be the absolute best game on the market (F2P or P2P)!!!

To elaborate on my answer, here are the reasons why I believe RoM is going to be the best game out there, and also why I want to "play":

FREE TO PLAY - Runes of Magic has revolutionized the free to play market by emcomposing essential elements that make many of the popular pay to play games popular. Without a doubt, and in today's economy, this will definatley draw in a extraordinary amount of people. The free to play principal will definately have an impact due to the fact that I feel most gamers are tired of feeling "chained" to a particular game simply because they have to pay a fee to experience the world in which thier character exists. This is not a solid businisess practice and is most certainly not the future of MMORPGS.

COMMUNITY - I have been a member of the official RoM community for some time now and I have most certainly noticed that most of the folks there truly and honestly care about the game. I feel that the majority of them have stumbled across a game that finally speaks to them. A game that finally shows the signs and draws the correct group of people that could, by some chance, develop into a game that could take on the most popular of pay to play MMO's.

CRAFTING - This has been one of my favorite past-times in every MMO I have played. As of yet, I have not found a free to play game that allowed me to follow my passion, which is to craft items for other players or myself. An MMO is not an MMO without the ability to craft items; especially when there is a lot of down-time and you need something to pass the time.

RUNE SYSTEM - What an amazing and revolutionary idea! I can not tell you how many times I had a set of armor in EQ2 that was completely mismatched, only due to the fact that I wanted to keep the stats that each piece had on it. With RoM I will not have to worry about the cosmetics of my character. This has got to be one of the most unique qualities of the MMORPG industry and I can not believe that no other (that I've played) game has incorporated this feature.

HOUSEING - Besides crafting, my most favorite thing to do in any MMO has been to decorate my house (when available). It blows my mind that there is finally a free to play MMO that grants each player access to thier very own house from the beginning! To be honest, when I heard that RoM was a free to play game and will offer housing to every player upon creating a character, I was sceptic. Apparently, the promise rings true and I can not wait to begin arranging my homestead with the items that I have collected in Taborea!

DUAL CLASSES - Simply amazing! The idea of allowing players to select one specialized class and one secondary class is amazing. Yes, I've played Guild Wars and understand that they have included this in their program. The diffrence is that GW is mostly instanced zones (which I do not particularly like). RoM has definately made a step in the right direction by allowing players to choose from two different classes. It no only adds to the entertainment factor, but also adds another level of tactical interactiveness where you must carefully consider how every group is created!

SERVER VS SERVER - This is just great! A gigantic war between 2/3 servers amazing!

MOUNTS - Mounts are available from the beginning, what more can I say?! Yes, I know you have to rent them for a certain period of time, but this is just unheard of in any pay to play game! Not only that, Frogster has stated that multiple mounts will be available by earning them. God, can this game get any better?

DUNGEONS - It was announced that dungeons will be catogorized into 3 different classes; dynamic, static, and PVP. I can only imagine what PVP dungeons will be like, but I am definately excited about the static and dynamic dungeons; especially the dynamic. This reminds me of Everquest 1's Lost Dungeons of Norrath where each time you entered a dungeon it was different. I had to pay quite a bit of money for that EQ1 expansion...now RoM is offering the same feature for FREE!! Ok...I think I'm going into cardiac arrest....

COMBINATIONS - Ok, forget EQ and WoW, I'm done with games that charge me a steep premium for access to their content. Combinations is another feature that can not wait to experience. Not only does this feature require you to find a group of competent players, it also allows you to inflict some serious damage upon mobs!!

STORYLINE - One of the most important things to me in an MMO is the storyline. I'm the kind of player that has to know that my character has his/her place in the world and has a destiny to complete.

QUESTS - Frogster has promised 600+ quests from the launch. As a roleplayer, that is incredibly important to me. Over 600 quests is surely enough to tide me over untill they release the next expansion.

A NEW HOME - I've been out of the MMORPG scene for a while now. I'm a veteran of EQ1 (1999-2004), EQ2 (2004-2008), Conan (2008), with a few free to play games in between (Shaiya, Perfect World, 9 Dragons, Rappelz, Runescape, etc...). I have honestly never had the feeling that I've had from learning about RoM. This game speaks to me on the level that EQ and WoW has done in the past. But those games have come and gone. Free to play is the way of the future of MMO's; it's just that most big business companies have not figured this out yet. I've already inveloped myself in the world of Taborea and can not wait to participate in making the game better for each future player who is yet to experince this amazing and revolutionary game.

Thanks for reading!
