Not sure why cavestory's being recomended cos you don't have crafting/harvesting but if you haven't played it before it's a must. You have to turn a blind eye to the old school pixel graphics but when you do it's alota fun.

I just started playing again cos i didn't really get into it the 1st time and it's awsome!
