Default Need car advice

Right now I have an ugly green 1998 Ford Contour, with bad tires, and not so great brakes, and the speakers only work on the left side. Keep in mind I'm an audiophile and I like to listen to music a lot, but I never listen to the radio in my car because it sounds like shit.

So my goal right now is: get new brakes, then new tires, then a new radio, and then an amp and subwoofer, and then speakers. And then get a new car, since I figured when I get my new car I can just take the sound system out of my current car and put it in the new car.

YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

I mean...a Kicker Solo X subwoofer like that would be awesome, but I don't have $1500 to spend on just subwoofers.

So could someone please help me out with finding a sound system (radio, speakers, amp, subwoofer) that's cheap, but still sounds good. Same with a car...I need some idea's of a cheap, sporty, good looking car that performs good and is good for upgrading and modding. I know it's probably hard to find deals like that though, since better usually = expensive.

Thanks for any help.

... Why spend money fixing your car when you're going to get a new one?

Do you need to save up or something?

I recommend Kentwood, cheap but good sounding.

You'd be surprised how much output some of those shitty Walmart speakers have. I can't say for sure, I don't have a car, but a buddy of mine gets them all the time, keeps adding on, and it sounds nice.

Well it really needs new tires and brakes, since the tires are almost completely worn down, and the brakes take a while to stop the car, and when I'm slowing down, it vibrates the whole damn car. Only reason I'm getting new tires and brakes is because I don't want to die before I get my new car, and its going to take some time to save up money to buy one when you work at a grocery store. And like I said, I can always take all the stuff I bought out and put it in my new car when I get it.

why the heck did you buy that ford, if i was you id just save the cash and not bother with your car right now. save up for the next buy. dont waste cash on it. how long you had it and what did you get it for, out of interest.

whats your new car going to be? if its another Fix Or Repair Daily you should maybe get a mondeo or maybe even a taurus or something.

I didn't buy it, my dad bought it when I was like...12. And he just gave it to me for free. And I don't know what my new car is going to be yet, I'm just kind of browsing around on craigslist.

Kenwood is a good brand for car sound systems.

My dad has 4-6 speakers and a woofer in his Acura MDX and it bumps... , BUMPS.

Some good normal-used cars are..

Honda Accords.
Honda Civics.
Acura Integras.
Acura Legends.
Toyoto Camrys.
