Don't worry they would never do that. Putting f2p players in a p2p is like turning gold to garbage.

IMO
P2P games are for teens who have a job or can get there parents to pay for them and people who are in their 20s that can afford a job.

F2P are for people who don't or can't spend $15 a month (which i think is a reasonable price) for a better quality game. But that dosen't mean there can't be F2P hardcore gamers. There are some expections to this when they release F2P good games but thoose are very rare and they usually clog it up with cash shop items too.

cash shops are taking over the market not F2P. This is happening because ultimately there is more money on CS Items since the majority is time based items. Aside from that fact CS Items in a lot of cases put a huge gap between players who pay and players who don't.

well, i dont know about your countrys but here in The Netherlands we get school scholarship which is a fair amount of money where I easily can pay for P2P games(ATM WAR-EU) but then again it depends on the study and the amount of money you earn by working, me I don't work only sometimes sell a 3D model, because Iam following a gaming education where I learn that stuff. So to the conclusion if people get like me scholarships they get money for P2P games.

another thing some F2P MMORPGS are pretty cool, I myself played alot of MS(MapleStory) and Gunz Online and A lot more

While certain P2P games really aren't P2P quality and should be F2P, there isn't really a market for Free mmorpgs. So, it would be impossible for them to take over 'The market' is there is no Market for them as in most cases they make very little money.

There are more F2P MMORPGs around because they're generally cheaper to develop and cash shop items can recoup the costs back reasonably fast as long as there's customers.

P2P/B2P MMORPGs rely heavily on subscriptions and/or sales to make a profit. If there's no players, there's no customers and thus no money. It's why some P2P MMORPGs may shut down due to a lack of customers (Asheron's Call 2) or switch to a cash shop model (Rose Online, SotNW, GE).

Sadly, I do agree that many games have overpowered cash shop items. There are many people who spend more money on F2P cash shop items in a month than the subscription fee for a P2P game. As long as this happens, it's more profitable to have a cash shop over a monthly subscription fee. Of course, there are some P2P games that also have a cash shop too. Personally, I think that's just greed but I guess at the end of the day, it's just business.

F2P? Money to spend, forced to.

P2P? Less money to spend, no one takes advantages on another.

MY POINT EXACTLY!

People are so amazed at seeing F2P games and they don't realize that in the long run they spend more money on cash shop items than they would be paying for a P2P subscription. And the worst thing about it is that if it's p2p then you think to yourself meh costs money I don't want to play it. As for f2p people go ooooohhhh f2p no money I'm in, the sad part is that when these people get addicted to the game and constantly get their *** handed to them by people who pay they put in more money to be stronger than the ones abusing them. This causes an endless cycle of morons paying more and more money for Items that disappear within a weeks period...

Ok, there are some very ignorant people ranting that there are no good f2p games? Is anyone so based as to think that something you pay each month for has to be better or more fun than something you pay nothing for. I personally couldn't get into WoW, I just didn't find enough fun to constitute even private server play, nevertheless paying monthly for such a game. Now some people do and I can respect that, but personally I have much more fun playing Latale which is my obsession, so glad I can play it in English now, and I wouldn't dream of paying a dime in that wicked cash shop. Someday if I feel like trying out the cash shop items I'll look up a pserver to check out that stuff. Of course I do understand that this is my person opinion and that not being one to partake in a lot of PvP it is more understandable that I forgo the cash shops in every free game I play that offers one. Just to say you can't play without using the cash shop is a bit of a venture, you most certainly can play and have a lot of fun in a free mmo without spending any of your hard earned money. I do think though that eventually the p2p games will be overrun and be abolished as a model for the much simpler and more lucrative cash shop system. Lets face it, players wanting to play against each other and have that edge or just to be on par makes the cash shop self sustaining.
