I have a question would it be easier to buy a computer with intel duo e8400 and nividia geforce 8500 GT and upgrading as time goes by, or just building a computer?

building one yourself, because most likely when you buy a prebuilt one its full of warranty seals

@XxXHolic, im fine with what you suggested but id go with the 6000+ and use the [ url] command for your links, since theyre always broken (for me)
which one would you recommend? Im all for the cheaper one, but i rather have quality over quantity.

ATI has the better cards currently and nVidia has better drivers. I'd recommend the ati cards if you want a more overall better quality in all games and nVidia which is a step below (by not much) and good graphics in crysis (which is a crappy game).

Alot of LCDs go for above $100, it also depends on whether what resolution you want to play, 20" and above for higher resolution (better quality and more expensive) or below 20" for (lower quality and less expensive).

Edit: I'd suggest above 20", because xxxholic build includes two cards, so getting less than a 20" would pretty much be a waste.

my build is pretty up there with high end depending if you choose the higher priced video card or the lower one.

personally I would go for the cheaper 4870 since it still is very good, the 4870 x2 is the most powerful card out at the moment.

a 22 inch LCd will cost from 260+ USD depending on brand.

Fixed, up until orignal compiler fixes his list. This list is so long, it was a pain just to recompile it for you (dang you xxxholic!). Atleast I had something to do though.

Edit: I've notice the VGA coolers aren't compatible with HD4870x2 and HD4870, beware your own risk if you buy them, who knows if they work or not.
