That's funny, it just occured to me that for some reason I don't associate those two (awesome bands) with industrial, even though, really they do fall under the label.
I guess I tend to associate the word "industrial" more with acts like Ministry: menacing dark vocals and thudding heaviness. and Swans tend to have mellow vocals, and I tend to listen to Coil's mellow night music way more than their other stuff. so yeah bit of an unconscious mental slip (Laibach are still pretty damn good) anyways, listening to My Dying Bride- Your River *delightedly shivers to the heaviness*

haha i get it, Swans might be mellow but Michael Gira and Jarboe's voices are brootal! and the The Ape of Naples by Coil is one of the best indus/dark ambient records ever made
