Every game can get boring. Problem is, if you play often and take a week off from playing LoH, you can miss out on a lot of updates :P

On a free account, it's 60 days until your characters get deleted. You can save them if you log in on the 59 or maybe 60th day of inactivity though until the next 60 days and so on. Once you pay the $15 fee, then the only way to have your characters / account deleted is to get banned from the game.

I'm pretty sure the Surgery skill allows you to do that. Which very few people have, skill-wise. And it's hard to get enough buffs from items to even use the skill.

Most people leave because of the tutorial (estate). If you can get through the estate (you can leave by lv 5), then you will enjoy the game more. I find the tutorial boring, but some enjoy it. You only get to see a tiny, tiny, tiny portion of the game there, which is why many people think the game sucks, because they never get through the estate.
