Post Is this worth playing?

Just considering a new mmorpg and this looked nice.

So i have a few questions ....
1. How big is community roughly?
2. Will it grow?
3. Lots of grinding?
4. Variety in classes?
5. End-game features?

So ya if you guys could respond to those that would be great.

1. It's hard to tell really, but very very active. You'll always find channels packed with hundreds of players. There's a nationwar every night with hundreds of people every weekday. Maybe even over a thousand on weekends.

2. At the current rate, yes.. as long as they keep adding new content like they have.

3. The leveling isn't bad but the skill leveling can be grindy if you're hardcore about it. When starting this isn't really something to be worried about.

4. There are six balanced classes than can be built to your specifications. If you want to be a dual blader who's faster and lighter you wear martial and use a martial build. If you want to be a dual blader who's slower but has more defense, you wear armor and go for that build, etc.

5. You unlock more and more party dungeons as you go on, but this isn't really a PvE game after 120ish, after that it's just doing dungeons and boss hunting with your friends, which doesn't make sense to you reading this but once you get into it you'll understand.

These are all kinda general questions that you'll figure out within a day playing the game, so I assume you haven't really done any research yourself.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask, but I highly recommend you give the game a shot.

1. How big is community roughly?
I have no idea, but in the Venus server, pretty much all 20 channels are filled to about half way full at the peak of the day. It's about 1/3 full when it's late at night or early in the day

2. Will it grow?
If it does, it won't be significant. There are always people popping in and out of different games, and to keep track of all their movements and get a net gain or loss of players is not very easy to do.

3. Lots of grinding?
From level 1 thru 40 you'll be doing nothing but quests to level up. From level 41 thru 95, you will do quests for maybe 50-80% of your level, then grind the rest of it. Past level 95, you're on your own. However, there are dungeons you can run for great EXP and good money. When I was level 9x, 10x, I could level up from doing two dungeon runs. The runs took about 1 hour, 1 hour and a half each. 2-3 hours for a level at 9x, 10x is BEAUTIFUL considering the level 170 cap.

4. Variety in classes?
Six classes that are all completely different from one another. They all have their ups and downs, yet they are all balanced to the point where the deciding factor of a PvP is being lucky enough to deal a critical hit or not.

5. End-game features?
Nation wars everyday at 9 PM Eastern time, 6 PM Pacific. These are available for everyone level 95 and up. It took me 3 weeks to reach level 100. PvP is available the instant you sign in. Crafting is an indefinitely long process that almost no player could hope to complete - if you enjoy crafting then you've got yourself set. Clan/guild wars - join a clan and fight against another one.

Beyond those, you can always farm dungeons to improve your equips and become very rich.

Also, you can proceed to max out all your skill ranks so that your character can reach maximum potential.

So ya if you guys could respond to those that would be great.
I responded directly in the quote, please read above.

1) Community is still fairly big and strong....surprisingly. This stands true for both EU version and the NA/CA version. Though the NA version seems to have more uh...immature players.

2) The NA version which I am playing is...well its not exactly growing or declining. Its more like at a stalemate. People leave everyday but new people join so...but you only hear about people leaving because they post useless threads on the general section...

3) Yes, tons up on tons. The first 100 levels or so is not bad because quests give decent amounts of exp and there are quests in 5 different towns. Not to mention the dungeons. Imo, skill grinding is the worse of the two: skill grind and level grind. You need good skill rank to be able to survive in hard dungeons and pvp and nation wars.

4) There are variety in classes. Each class is unique in that they have different skills, play styles, etc. Warriors are the 2-handed fighters that deal lots of dmg per hit. Bladers are like rogues where they hit fast and hard. Force Shielders are like tanks with their shield, but they can also dish out good damage. Wizards are....as you can tell, mages, dealing hefty amount of magic dmg per skill. Force Bladers are a mix between magic and melee...I guess you can consider them as magic knights or something. They have debuffs and numerous buffs to aid them, not to mention DoTs from their skills. Force Archers are the ranged class besides Wizards. They have healing abilities, like Force Shielders, but are better at it. Good party buffs as well. They can hold their own with their array of attacks.

5) End-game in Cabal is pretty limited. There are nation wars and end-game dungeons but thats pretty much it. The reason why people leave is because there is no replay value. Once they reach a high enough level to experience everything the game has in terms of content, they get bored. People pvp from time to time, but that gets old pretty fast too. Unless you join an active guild, you won't last long either.

And I am back~ for now. I decided to give the game another try, this time with a blader. Started on the Mercury server. If anyone sees me online, pm me and/or help me~
IGN is CrisisDance.

Peace
