well I'm thinking of joining FFXI but I have a few questions first:

does it have a voice chat system?
is the world big?
is it addictive?
what's the lasting appeal?
yeah... I think I can make a decision based in those ^^

there is not voice chat system but people who play use , skype , ventrillo or with the upcoming xbox360 update a 6 man chat party u would be able to play and use those.

the world is huge with all the expansions its very big

i been playing for 3-4 years it is addictive =]

i dont quite understand by u mean with the lasting appeal , if u mean what draws me in? it would be how many different things ur able to do from leveling to crafting to boss hunts with firends
