Ya know, it's called "Curve" for a reason...
I had no idea ME was so messed up. But after glancing through the thread you linked, I figure the formula is more like:
max damage= (amount of bags)*(meso per bag)*(mastery)*DamagePerMesoInBag*(100%+bonusForAm ountOfBags)
min damage= max damage/2
where DamagePerMesoInBag depends on amount of meso in bag, resulting in the EvilCurve, so that for example
Dropping 10 meso gives 350 damage (per bag)
Dropping 100 meso gives 800 damage
Dropping 1000 meso gives 6000 damage
Dropping 10000 meso gives 30000 damage
And dropping 50000 meso gives only 40000 damage
and bonusForAmountOfBags depends on number of bags exploded. So at 1 bag exploded there is no bonus, at 10 bags there is 25% bonus, at 15 bags there is 60% bonus, and at full 20 bags there is 100% bonus-doubling your damage.
EDIT: unless the skill has been patched and fixed since that time(Jul 2007)...
