TO TYPE IN JAPANESE, GO TO YOUR KEYBOARD INPUT SETTINGS, ADD IN JAPANESE: MICROSOFT IME. ONCE YOUR KEYBOARD IS SET UNDER THAT KEYBOARD SETTING, USE ALT+TILDE(~) TO CHANGE INPUT TO JAPANESE. ALT+TILDE AGIAN TO CHANGE IT BACK. IN THIS INPUT SETTING, BELOW IS BASICALLY THE ROMAJI FOR EACH CHARATER... WHILE IN JP INPUT, CTRL + CAPS CHANGES THE INPUT TO HIRAGANA, ALT+CAPS CHANGES THE INPUT TO KATAKANA. WHILE TYPING, F5 OPENS UP THE IME PAD, F6 CONVERTS THE SELECTED CURRENT WRITING TO HIRAGANA, F7 CONVERTS TO KATAKANA, F8 CONVERTS KATAKANA INTO SMALL KATAKANA, ROMAN LETTERS INTO DIFFERENT WIDTH(half/full) OR CAPITAL, F9 CONVERTS INTO ROMAJI (half-width), F10 CONVERTS INTO ROMAJI (full-width)... SPACEBAR DOES CONVERSIONS, SO IF YOU WANT STAR SYMBOLS USE hoshi (which means star), MUSIC SYMBOLS use ongaku (which means music), suugaku for misc symbols... ue = up, shita = down, hidari = left, migi = right, other stuff.. w.e you figure it out.

1.1
Basically each character in Japanese is a syllable (not counting kanji/chinese characters). It goes down a list of A (pronounced like ahh), I (pronounced as E), U(the u sound in poo), E(like the e in ehh), O(OOOOOOOHHHH ._. what more can i say). Each syllable usually ends with a vowel (with the exception of n and m). When written, using a dakuten marker (゙) or a handakuten marker (゚) will be different than syllables without them. Characters such as か(ka) and す(su) when a dakuten is added will become が(ga) and ず(zu). Handakuten does like the same thing but syllables such as "he" or へ + dakuden = べ or be, へ + handakuden = ぺ or pe. Most syllables starting with a "b" can also be used as a "v" is there is no v in Japanese. Small characters (sokuon) are usually used for double consanants. Characters that have a small "y" character are called yoon... basically for syllables like kya, kyu, kyo, etc. (there is no yi or ye). ー is used to lengthen the sound of words, such as for greave, グリーブ (gu,ri,-,bu).

1.4a
Just like in English, particles are used in JP... the first one we will look at is "は” or ha. By itself, we pronounce it as wa, which is why people will normally write "watashi wa ______ desu" when its actually suppose to be "watashi ha _____ desu" so it is written as 私は_____です (watashi meaning "I or me" is 私 when written in kanji, desu is the present tense of to be so in this cause it would be "is or am"). は denotes the subject so in the previous example, I is the subject. Another example would be リンゴは赤いです (ringo ha akai desu). ringo is apple in Japanese so ha denotes "apple" as the subject, akai means red, and desu would be is. When you put it all together it becomes apple is red (more or less).

1.4b
The word "of" in English or "'s (apostraphe s)" is often used... In Japanese, "の" means "of or 's" by itself (when reading left side of の to right side, it is usually 's, left side to right side is usually "of") . So let's mix the previous examples together to form: 私のリンゴは赤いです. This would be "watashi no ringo ha akai desu" in romaji, which means my apple is red.

Shade, I see you worked hard but I really wouldn't advise anyone to start learning japanese writing system from your post.
It seems that you were in a hurry and your post doesn't teach anything in detail, nor it makes too much sense. Also, too little examples.
You can only confuse people making posts like "this is like this, this is like that, that's my way of understanding it, if you don't understand, I don't care".
If you're going to teach someone from the start, write about everything in detail and give more examples, or just give links to some resources on learning japanese.

Just leave the guide about how to use a JP keyboard and link to wikipedia about writing kana.

(No off. in my post...)
