Open Beta is final , when you go from Open Beta to release , you get almost no change. LOTR didnt offer high res textures , and high res models , because of the download size.
In the preview / early access , anyone who bought early release was given the option of online download (and the choice of high / medium and low res) or getting the game sent to you.
Unlike the online retailers at the time , a game box + pre order was 65.00 with 2 day shipping. Turbine sent out game disc with 3 day shipping (mine arrived on Tuesday and I ordered it friday )
Age of Conan hasnt said anything about high res textures , or clearing up the code.
One thing that is really different about Funcom is so much double talk.
