HELP PLZ im tring to use the dedicated server tool on steam and i opened the ports on my dads router and it still doesnt work does anyone know how to make it so i can get my friends on the internet to come play my server. cuz im hosting it on my own computer and i dont want to pay for one so im using the tool in the steam tool selection called dedicated server for half-life mods and stuff

Let em guess your sending them the ip given by your windows network info, if so this is bad go to www.whatismyip.com and give them that one

Ok cool i got my friends joining the server is 24.166.141.215:27015! POEPLE JOIN i have to reinstall steam first

I think I'll pass on the server being illegally hosted on a broadband connection.

There's no such thing as hosting a server illegally (unless you stole the files or something from steam)

Ya it help lol i got the server up and running i have admins,amx, and some other stuff working, Pritty much a normal server we have 6 members so far and still working on the server to make it better

if u guys want to come play the ip is 24.166.141.215:27015 and this is for Cs 1.6, the only thing that sucks is that my computer has a timer so i can host the server from 7am-8pm and on weekdays 6am-11pm! Have fun!
