Bladin asked me to join a small Diablo 2 community. Being who I am I took his community idea... well a big leap foward, lol. So here is an excerpt from the site that I created.

New Horizons Website

Welcome to the New Horizons Website. We are a Diablo 2 community that plays on the New Horizons server focusing on using the Eastern Sun Diablo 2 modification. We encourage a nice friendly enviroment with no abuse, cheating, or hacking of any kind. We are here to have fun. We hope to have a community in which we can dual, trade, and level with. There are only a few files needed to be downloaded before you can play on the New Horizons server. We also play on Open Battle.net, this is mainly because you have control over your character and it is still possible for you to use the Plugy program. This program, if you don't know, is a great little add-on which lets you remove added stats and reset your skills, as well as give you multiple stash pages.

Thats basically it! If you play Diablo 2 and have played, or intrested, in playing the Eastern Sun Modification we hope you all can join us.

The website is now fully functional with a screenshot gallery, as well as a forum, server status, and other stuff like that

We hope to get a somewhat large community so we can have lots of people to trade, dual, pvp and have fun with!

And I know Diablo 2 is old, but that does not make it any less fun! SO JOIN US!

For those who don't know... this is NOT a private server. It is simply a hub for Open Battle.net for New Horizon Members to easily join games, and chat with, other Horizon members. I am not emulating the Battle.net Server in ANY way.

What exactly will you do to prevent hackers? People can hack skills/stats without you even knowing it in open b-net. Anyway I would join but I been playing warcraft3 mods for the past week and still haven't gotten bored which is a mirical of modern gaming...

I host the server that we play on... meaning we don't get games that come from uswest, useast, or asia. And the people who hack... will get banned. We are really just going on the honor system. If your going to cheat... it's going to be noticeable, and then you won't be any more fun so we will ban you!

We are only looking for a close knit community really... I don't want this to become a super full blown server thing. We are just here to have lots of fun!

Damn, I would sooo join you guys.
Thing is I left my D2 and D2 LOD at my other house. When I retrieve the CD's I will join.

(Ill h4x for sure).

I play D2 LoD, Eastern nonladder. But I don't play open mainly because it's full of hacks. Closed ftw.

Anyways, I know this is a bit offtopic but if anyoen needs help in Eastern I'll help ya for sure.
