Mythic fights back!

Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning has only just begun to compete with World of Warcraft, says Mark Jacobs, Mythic's CEO, who commented "It's a marathon, not a sprint."

Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz, Jacobs took issue with comments made by Paul Sams, Blizzard's COO, that over half of the subscribers who left World of Warcraft for Warhammer Online had returned, which Mythic's CEO interpreted to as an accusation Warhammer users were leaving the MMO.

Too bad it's not a very interesting fight or even comparison. PvE VS PvP... You play the game that you prefer the content of.

To be honest the deus ex machina strategy in the tier 4 scenarios is what killed it for me. The only skill that makes engineers and magus useful is what breaks the game, oh the irony.

Yeah, I expect Electromagnet and Chaotic Rift to be toned down somewhat in the near future with the class adjustments. Atm I find the Sorc Pit needing the most work when it comes to actual RvR Keep fights.

Actually, I'd prefer both of them to grow up. This is business, and in every business there are competitions. And competitions are good for constant quality control and customer satisfaction.

its ok to say that it HAS to be nerfed .. electromagnet and a bw can bring down X()XXpeople in 2/4 moves ..

Didnt they already state that there WILL BE no nerfing only buffing class that are underpower. Somewhere Jacob said that on VN boards o.0

"Nerf" is an interpretative word from Mythic. They tend to like to "tune" or "retool" abilities. However, they are looking at improving all classes rather than trying to disable others. However, the strength of these 2 abilities merited change in beta and still do.
