focusing most in c/c++, doing java was a pain in the *** for me due to having to do things a certain way instead of the cheap shortcut of using pointers.
try doing a scentific calculator since you alreayd done a simple calculator. or try storing and parsing information from text file and reload the information onto a java gui screen. |

. But the reason we say a calculator is it gives you the experience you need in most important areas. Class creation, Observers, GUI and Swing, input, exception errors, loops, if/else statements, blah blah blah.

point taken, lmao. major difference is c++, you can take alot of shortcuts using pointers and unfriendly and crashes out of nowhere, whereas in java, it is alot more friendly and less prone to crashes; java already creates alot of Wrappers for you so you don't have to code many things to do the simpliest task as well, lol.
