Semper's Finest

so i did it i quit runescape, rappelz and silkroad to play warhammer online.
i just downloaded it and i have the basic gameplay down.

i do need advice from some people who have been playing longer so....
what server is the best
what class is the most fun (not powerful i just want to have fun)
order or destruction?
and so on...
give me some tips please! =)

Well, to begin with choose a server type. Core is your basic server where RvR takes place in specific areas and nobody can bother you while leveling. Open RvR is a server type where others can come into your area and gank you if they so choose. As for the actual server that is very debateable. For Open RvR Dark Crag, Wolfenburg, and Bechafen are the top 3 and for Core I'd say Skull Throne, Volkmar, and Red Eye Mountain are the top 3. You should also look at the server listing when you log in as some servers right now are getting bonuses to experience and renown earned on a certain faction side due to them being lower population than the other side. It's a nice bonus to help leveling go a bit faster.

As for Order or Destruction and various classes that is completely a judgement call on your part. Order however I should note tends to be the underdogs on most servers so you tend to get faster scenario queues and can make a name for yourself a bit better if that is your thing. I myself personally find the classes of Order overall more fun to play, but I prefer the storylines and settings of Destruction.

As for classes that are fun...
Destro - Shaman (Little green healer, dps, buffer annoyance... really fun), Marauder (Annoying abilties that make people hate you and hella aoe DPS), Zealot (The energizer bunny of healers), Squig Herder (DPS needs some help, but their pet and class gives a lot of utility), Sorcerer (Monster DPS)
Order - Ironbreaker (You can tank anything!), Bright Wizard (DPS Monsters, but fragile), White Lion (2hd DPS Class w/ a Pet... a blast to play), Witch Hunter (Stealth w/ a rapier and a gun... stylish and strong), Engineer (Whether sitting back at range with your gun or hugging your stationary turrets and lobbing grenades it doesn't get much more fun)

Pro Tip - Mix your leveling up between Scenarios, Public Quests, and normal Questing to keep things from getting boring and you'll level fast as well. If you're a healer, then make friends with a tank. If you're a tank, then make friends with a healer. Pick up professions like Salvaging and Scavenging to make fairly good money as you level up. Gold is mostly pointless unless your guild is claiming keeps as it's currently not used for much in the game so you'll easily acquire enough to hold you up till something worthwhile is added to purchase.
