Hey I have never played Ragnarok but a couple of times. Is it too late to begin the game? Also, does anyone know a good guide for a mage that will work fairly well on the Valkeryie server?

Oh I forgot to add. How long does it take to max out and are there quests along the way?

It's never too late for something as good as RO.

I'm not sure of the valk rates, but unless they're over 10x it'll take a good while.
95-99 literally took weeks-months on iro. and then you should rebirth and do it all over again for a trans class. The leveling becomes death, but it's worth it if you ask me.

As for a guide, I'm not sure since I picked up my build from experience.

Rates are 1x on Valkyrie, the other pay servers have had their rates boosted to 2x.

Good guides, I'm not sure but you can pay the official iRO forums a visit?

If by maxing out, you mean 99 transcendant then hmm I'm not really too sure eithier, maybe six months - year? Depends how you level though, might take more or less time.

There are a few quests, but the majority of your experience will be gained from killing monsters.

Seems a little too grind based for me. I might stick to Trickster or Solstice for my 2d fix
