i heard there are different zones in astral area. Some with more monster and some with islands to explore or something like that. I think your idea will work ^^ (in some zones)

Well, according to some Russian testers. You can, and will in fact be attacked by Astral Demons while fighting another ship. There's a tale about how an Empire (or League, don't remember) engaged in battle a League ship, and when things started to look bad for the Empire ship, the League Ship didn't notice an Astral Demon approaching them. The results: League Ship was destroyed.
But the problem was... as soon as the Demon defeated the League Ship, it noticed the other one fleeing, and so it followed. Result: Both ships were destroyed by the same Astral Demon. |

Alright. I will explain a bit about Astral travel and the different kind of ships:
Close-distance transportation: You use an Astral "Boat", which safely moves you from a nearby Allod to another one. No special equipment. Medium-distance transportation: The most common type of Astral Ships. They are equipped with guns and shields. These are the ones that can engage in combat. Long-distance/Astral Demon hunting: Astral Galleons, which are HUGE ships intended for guilds. They are more prepared for battle and can endure more damage. There are also State Voyage Astral Ships, which have permanent set routes between the Allods, and which you can use to move from Allod to Allod. The most important part of an Astral Ship is the mana-reactor, which collects energy from the Astral. This energy is spent in everything that revolves around the manipulation of the ship, from changing direction to firing the guns. If you overheat the reactor, the Ship will stop moving. In Astral Ships there are 4 main roles: Navigator, Helmsman, Cannoneer and Repairman. Any class/race can be any role. |
