That's neither here nor there, because in murxidons, and in your post, you claimed rick had spoken out about his hatred for the phenomenon, which seems not to be the case.
Besides, there's a long way from a negative feeling to hating something.

I doubt anyone thinks Rick isn't milking this for all he's got. However, since his new-found source of income is due to the rick roll meme, I don't think he holds much of a grudge against it.
As you said yourself, he'd hardly be able to hold a concert without it, and now he's touring.
