Default Critical Thinking

I saw someone just post this question on another forum and It was fairly simple to come to the conclusion even though it is very complex (if that even makes sense at all).

Let it confuse you once you figure it out.

Three points are on a line in space and space is exapanding. Point A and C are moving away from each other faster than the speed of light. From the perspective of A and C point B is moving away slightly faster than half the speed of light. B can see A and C and vise versa. Why can't points A and C see each other?

maybe I should take away that picture of a straight line of space maybe then people won't use that conclusion even if it's a joke.

You do know that people are just going to google for the answer, right?

That actually would be great, Since there isn't any direct answer listed. But there are ones that will build on each other if you read them all.

this is simple. if for some reason from the prospective of A if C was moving away relatively faster than the speed of light A would not be able to see C because it would be traveling away faster than light so light from C would never be able to reach A. making it invisible.

of course no object can move faster than the speed of light even if it is relative speed. The fastest known recorded object is taveling at 90% the speed of light away from us. It is also the furthest object ever recorded in our universe at 14 billion + light years away (the further away an object is the faster it is traveling. That is hubbles law) (i took astronomy in college last semester)

rephrase what you said and you might have guessed it correctly.

hint*

think about relative time.

and there have been scientists who are actually saying it is possible to go faster than the speed of light. Of course they must get their ideas peer reviewed.

It's just our ways to measure things could be not good enough to detect it. I mean dark matter had us confused for a long time I still think it's confusing.

Because they are moving away each other in opposite direction?
