Ye, 360, good choice.
The first thing you'll notice is the go-train you have running inside your system. Aside from that, it's all good. I bought an external cooler so it doesn't get so loud. The new update lets you pre-load games on your 360's harddrive so it doesn't need to revo the disc in order to play. Pretty awesome, but sucks considering I have a retro 20gb HDD from the first week 360's came out. |

The RROD is mearly a system failure informer, it's always in the system. It's primarily about the number of consoles that get the RROD. As of October 24, Microsoft started releasing a new version of the 360 that uses a new processor, supposedly to reduce the number of consoles with the RROD. There are still many older models, however, that are still out on the market. To ensure the old stock gets sold, they randomly mixed in all of their older models with the newer models. The only way to find out if the model you are buying is the newer cpu is to look for a console with Lot Number 843x or higher and manufactured after October 24. But, as I said, the RROD is not gone, it's just not gonna pop up as much. Get your facts straight next time. Note: The only versions out on the market, right now, that do not have the new cpu are, as said, the arcade versions. I work at Fry's in Software and have heard much about this.

I was a person who like you really didn't know which one to get, but I opted for the 360 last weekend. I just didn't want to pay 60 dollars a game for a PS3 which lasta 2x longer then a 360 (like 2 weeks after a release I can get a used game for 50). Plus I have really enjoyed the games lately, so I would say get one.
From everything I heard the RRoD was caused by Microsoft butting the processor and DVD drive right next to each other.
