So im thinking of getting a sound system in my car for Christmas, but i dont want to have a professional put it together and install it, rather do it on my own.

So my question is, how does all this work? can i just buy a stereo i like, speakers, amplifier, and sub, and install it, or do they have to be like perfectly correlated to work together?

ive googled this and its very confusing.

Its pretty simple. Just pop off the outter part of where your current speakers are and you'll figure it out quickly.

If not, I'm sure theres someone who loves cars at your school.

noone I know really does, they got it professionally done if they have one.

and I can handle the installation part, just getting the parts. Something about RMS, wattages and all sorts of stuff, that confuses me. I dont want something to fry or not work cuz i got incorrect parts.
