Why level 30?
Maple Story and LaTale are two completely different games. Anyways, LaTale is way faster than Maple Story. As you don't get 2nd job until level 80.

Yeah, like the person above me said, leveling is definitely faster, but that is mainly because there are a lot of quests that you can do, and quests give much better exp in comparison to just grinding on monsters.

if you straight grind on monsters the rates are about the same, but because of quests it's mad fast. Generally what works for me is doing all the quests at your level in same area first then doing any others second. there's usually some central hub point you should be doing quests at for your current level.
Or you can hope that they make another mistake and let the iris points dish out millions of exp again =P
