aww i was hoping they learned from FF11 that designing a game for multiple platforms like an mmorpg is a nightmare. Hopefully they cut that

Really? What went wrong in that area with FFXI?
The most I can guess is awkward to play without a keyboard for the consoles, but then you can get a USB one.

I played FFXI for 2 years and I absolutely loved the time I spent there.

With the way SE did the menus for FFXI playing on a controler was very easy. I don't see where they would run into any problens with controllers. Hell I played with only a keyboard and could fit pretty much anything I needed to 10 buttons - movement keys.

I think SE learned their lesson on the RMT front. Hell I think they would have a shitton more players if they had just implimented much better RMT control.
I know I would still be playing if the RMT wasn't such a problem. Instead I play WoW........

FFXI was inspired by EverQuest. They've been trying to "take in American," almost from the beginning of the MMOG Industry.
