There is not 400 people that actively play shaiya that would be willing to sign up just to vote for it on a poll not to mention a good percentage of shaiya's players are most likely foreign so they wouldn't even understand how to do it.

I don't hate the game (though now I can't stand the company that owns it) but the only reason I don't like it personally is because the controls were very weird for me and I couldn't get used to it. I didn't get very far to see if I didn't like anything else in it.

i dont see what the problem is with us voting for games we like, any poll that i see anywhere im gonna vote for the games i like
for the last few days ive hung around and had a good look around onrpg but the attitude of the members is just nasty you dont see us doing this except in respose to the abuse we get from onrpg members, AG members voting could have brought many more ppl to onrpg but now because of the response i have seen from you guys im never coming here again

Sorry peeps, I just had to create an account to ask this peeps to wake up their bloody ideas.
You don't see any problem because you're oblivious. I'll tell you the problem here and now.

Problem 1) Aeriagames wants to use the onrpg #1 voting to tag their oh-so-lovely Shaiya. (Note: I've nothing against Shaiya. I am just against aeria's tactics)

IF aeria games didn't intend to use it as a tag. I certainly have no problems with this. But they do

Problem 2) Players from aeria comes over, creates an account and vote.

Now here comes the problem. The flaw with a forum poll is such that anyone can create an account and poll. I totally agree with current suggestions that you would require 50-100 post counts before being able to vote especially for an 'official' voting.

Some of you aeria fanboys might want to defend that this is perfectly normal. Well, take this for example. China sends all its citizens to US to become citizens (as they are able to in onrpg forum context) and votes for a president in their favor. Is this right or is this wrong? I doubt I have to give an answer. If you think there isn't anything wrong with this. Then you're a f**king retard.

(Note: I have nothing against China or US, I'm just stating an analogy. Using china due to its immense population.)

Another arguement from you guys would be that this is an open poll. Yes it is, but having many players from aeria vote whereas players from other games do not vote. Do you think this is a fair vote? If you just answered yes go bang the wall cause you're a retard.

To mods: an unfair vote is misrepresentation of the masses and inaccurate, thus rendering it useless. Seriously you guys should just scrap the votes. Or do a re-vote with the 50-100 post count ruling. This would avoid 'non-citizens' from voting. But may create spam though. Lol.

No internet poll is completely true though, the thing is, it all depends on chance - chance whether someone from a particular game will happen to find this poll. This 'chance' shouldn't be increased further by adding the post limit to be able to vote, because then its the chance that someone finds this poll, decides to vote and has enough posts. Surely that is also a misreprisentation. Your vote isn't any better than mine just because you have been on this forum that I have never heard about before longer than me.

To be honest I am suprised that Shaiya doesn't have more votes. It is such a great game with impressive pvp and we have a massive community with thousands of active people seeing the message to vote each day.

So what can you guys do about it? Get in contact with your own GMs and get them to take this poll into your own community. If your GMs have not made your community aware of this poll and your game doesn't win then it is the fault of your games GMs. If the GMs have made your community aware of this vote but still loses, then your community is not big enough or doesn't care about the game enough.

At the end of the day if Aeria hadn't of asked so many players to vote, there would have been a total of like under 150 votes - and for a poll on the internet that is meant to be taken seriously, that is just lame.

So quick summary:

Your so called "Problem":
Players from aeria comes over, creates an account and vote.

Solution:
Players from other games come over, create an account and vote.

This is a competitive vote after all
