i got the same error, the problem w/ this insallation is that when i tried to change the directory (i.e from C: to G: ) because my C: drive doesnt have enough space, so browse and then change it to G:.
What happens is that it installs right back in C: directory, you can see it by clicking "Show Details" and you can see there the "Output C:" and then i get the low space message.

Kentaro, apparently so. I guess there's nothing we can do about it. I tried installing to my D drive with more than enough free space, but I keep getting low space errors on my C drive and it wont install. That's absolutely stupid. I won't be playing Trickster then... can't even install it.

FINALLY I fixed problem of needed space on C:
I had to go into the registry and change where windows puts Common files and its temporary files to partition that had over 3gb space. To change where common files and temp files are stored go to RUN > type regedit press ok First HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Environment Change the temp directorys there to a partition that has over 3 GB Second : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion Change CommomFilesDir to a partition with a couple of gb spare Then reset your pc Install Now install trickster to a drive with over 3.4gb free. (if this is same drive you put your new temp files you will probably need 6-7gb) Might be a good idea to remember or save the original values and put them back to normal after installing. Hope this helps some people. Reser, |

I had the same problem, but i fixed it without going into the reg.
1. Start the installation. Open C:\Prog files\common files\ in a window up as well as a folder in the larger driver (F: in my case). Also have your My Computer window up so you can keep an eye on your drive space 2. Just before you get to your maximum limit on your C: (about 300-500mb before it) cut all folders that have been fully extracted to your C: and paste them into your larger drive (F: for me). E.g. for me i got just after Maps folder being extracted before it ran out, so i moved Maps (1gb big). I found out after i only needed to free up 200mb, duh :P 3. Keep cutting and pasting till you have enough room. It's a bit of a messy way and it will slow your installation down a little, but it's easier than messing around with your reg. Just make sure you don't cut any folders the installation hasn't extracted to yet. |
