Well, when asking for team members, you should have some sort of control over your thread, unless you're doing something really bad (i.e. plagarism; stuff like that).
To be honest, Craksy, you're making some points, but you're not being level-headed. RenScorch; you're being pretty cool-headed in the face of some hostility, and for that I salute you. That being said, both Lothia and Craksy bring up valid points. You need to have a skill to market; other than team manager or idea guy (unless you have money. then you can be whatever you want ). I don't doubt you're serious, but you need something to go on. You have C++ knowlege, which is good. Try expanding that to cover an engine or a graphics API. If you do that, you'll definitely be able to get someone to come and help with your project. Also, as has been mentioned; a design document of some sort wouldn't hurt.

It only comes with experience =D
craksy, I'm force to report you Like I said. One thing you learn from a job is make no threats Keep all promises. And yes. As I said. I'm sure will Help with in all my abilities. Sadly It lacking in The programing cycle. I only got enough under my belt to make a small dice game or Text based RPGs (both I made in school ) I Can come up with ideas. As well as direct others. I value Team communication the best skill ever, As for level design. I Can direct were I want what, for what with what and ECT. As for making it happen I'm forced to use other tools which can limit me a lot. So I'm always forced to use rough, very rough sketches. If people are willing to Deal with that.As I said. Were not competing for anything well except for maybe to have fun ![]() It a big world, if you want to aggressively hit some idea finding the breaking points of it. Join a debate club or go to a real developer. I'm sure they love people like craksy. It been help full all your hints and all. And I'm not say I have no use for them. But What I am asking is this please... please. lets not keep filling it up. If you want to aggressively attack the idea make a thread and invite me in I'll gladly join and hear your input. But this thread not the place. =D I'm only being frank. No hard feelings, and I never hate anyone ^^

While no criticism is fine, trying to show someone reality I believe is more helpful then not.
If you are scerious and you want to be the project leader then I suggest you do a few things. First I pray that you have all micrsoft office products (Excel, Access, PP, Word and possibly a few others). Learn how to use each of these well. Excel is going to be how you can show some things, such as attack power, exp, sprite sizes. Access is a database and can be used for saving information, most likely basic account information. Word is used for all documentation, you will need to learn how to make a design document. If you want to be the leader I suggest learning what use cases are, UML diagrams, SRS. Make sure you have some auto system or even a manual system that will list all bugs you have as well as all that have been fixed Mantis is a good website for this. Create a google group or Trac, which you need to understand what a repository is; http://trac.edgewall.org/. As well you should get to understand the basics of TortiseSVN, which used for subversion so that all users can easll access the project. I am sure I am missing a lot of things you need to do as a project leader, but if that is what you have to offer then these are some of the things you should be able to bring to the table.

even if he have all those things, its not going to help him, if i doesnt know the work flow of a game development process!
thats why i recomend, that you join other projects, and see how other team leaders do there thing!
